Sid Efromovich is a learner, husband, public speaker, facilitator and social entrepreneur who transitioned from the sugar trade into the real sweetness of helping individuals, families and their communities flourish.
He speaks seven languages and has delivered the TEDx talks TEDxNYS and TEDxUES, which has over 4 million views. He is the founder of Humans United Giving Support (HUGS – formerly called Hug Don’t Hate), an organization that has been spreading love in Boston for the past decade. He moved to New York six years ago and made it his new home, where he worked as a sugar trader and taught Sid’s Happiness Workshop. Subscribing fully to the philosophy and movement of Effective Altruism, he is leveraging his previous experience and graduate degrees in Business Administration and Applied Positive Psychology to do the most amount of good he can with the resources he has available. He does this is the founder and managing director of The Billion Dollar Question, a coaching, consulting and advising company for High Net Worth families and individuals, and also as a faculty member of The Flourishing Center, where he leads positive psychology classes and workshops. A fun fact is that he met his wife, Faran Efromovich, at a flash mob while dancing to “Baby Got Back.” He proposed to her in a flash mob too.
